      •Developed and tested Linux Based Rugged Hand Held Terminals with a built in printer, for meter reading applications. Responsibilities: 1.Hardware design/modifications: Interfacing Peripherals to the controller and upgrading existing products with newer controllers, without major changes to the product dimensions or PCB design. 2.Configuring the controller GPIO, configuring the Kernel and loading OS (uboot, uImage, RFS) onto the finished product. 3.Checking the suitability of new micro controllers for existing products- pin compatibility, controller specifications, working on their SDKs. 4.Schematic design using Orcad. •Developed a compact ARM9 based Hand Held Gamma Ray Spectrometer. The spectrometer detects various radioactive materials (Ground Survey), indicates the type of material, and the dosage level. Responsibilities: 1.Designing and testing the hardware- sensor, pre-amplifier, Peak detector, ADC, Controller. 2.Sampling the data from the sensor (using ADC) and sending it to the Controller. Resources/ Tools: Atmel controllers, Linux OS, Keil IDE, Embedded C programming, Atmel Sam-ba, Spice software, Ubuntu PC, lab equipments like DMM, Oscilloscope, power supplies. Show less
