      The project "News Text Classification" done under the guidance of Prof.Pawan Goyal, aimed at classifying the news into the opinion and facts categories and further into their sub categories. Unlike online reviews, news consist of both facts and opinion so it is very important to classify into facts and opinion so that while summarization we obtain both the diverse classes of news. Using the NLP tools the news sentences were parsed using Python and features were extracted to help in classification into sub categories of the facts and opinions.
