As Director of Instructional Technology and CIO, I was Steve Rossini’s supervisor at Hibbing Community College for several years until I left that position in December, 2004. Steve did an excellent job providing technology support in all areas. His main duties were to help faculty members develop and deliver online and partially online courses, but he also provided assistance for all computer users on campus as needed. His technical know-how is unsurpassed and he has developed a strong reputation on campus as a problem-solver. Steve’s best traits involve his ability to teach others how to use technology in a very friendly, non-threatening way. I often heard compliments about his methods and his kind, caring nature. (I still hear of Steve’s good work at Hibbing Community College. For example, I learned about his role in helping a music instructor develop an online course that won a prestigious award. I saw this in the news and also had the instructor call me to let me know how pleased he was with Steve’s work—quite some time after I had left!) Steve’s work ethic and dedication to duty is exceptional. He worked beyond the call of duty on many projects while under my supervision. It was great to count on him to complete important projects always on time. And, there were many occasions when setting up courses prior to a new semester put the pressure on. Steve always sees the big picture, and with his team spirit, energy, and enthusiasm will always bring hard work and leadership to any work environment. I am proud and honored to recommend Steve Rossini for any position. He will continue to be a strong asset for any employer. Certainly he has special skills with technology, but his people skills provide the important aspect needed in almost all jobs today. Steve is a multi-talented person who is fun to be around. It is a pleasure to work with him. If you have any questions regarding Steve Rossini’s qualifications, please don’t hesitate to contact me. Sincerely, Jim Antilla Jim.antilla@gmail.com Phone: 218-263-4613

Many of HCC's faculty rely on Steve's expertise when developing and managing their online or hybrid courses, and students look to him for technical support. Steve consistently finds ways to advance the college's capacity to provide high-quality online coursework for HCC students.
