This 182 Meter, USD 500 Million project is a technological and social project, and I supported and managed the management processs right from its inception to the registration of the organisation to its near completion. When I left charge of the project, the Statue was at 153 M height of its full 182 M, and a mere 11 months away from full completion. Headed an initiative that's unique in the annals of recent Indian Public Administration, a 'Change & Innovation Management Unit' called the Parivartan Cell. This structure was embedded in the Chief Minister's office to give it adequate voice, muscle & traction. In the two years that I spearheaded this unit, saw the rolling out of the Information Technology sector in the state, the implementation of the first Sub-National Public Private Partnership based Infrastructure law; the creation of a 'knowledge corridor' & the 'science city' to herald the onset of knowledge based society in Gujarat. These nascent initiatives were further strengthened & grounded under the strong & visionary administration of the period 2001-2014. Show less
