I had the privilege of working with Srini for three years at the Academy of General Dentistry. During that time, Srini did an outstanding job of formulating the Academy's position on numerous complex policy issues. I remember, in particular, a position paper Srini authored on corporate dental practice, a growing trend contrary to the traditional solo-practice general dentistry of our membership. The paper received rave reviews from our leadership and from leadership groups in other dental organizations. Because of Srini's ability to turn complex subjects into persuasive policy projects, I came to rely on Srini for several "thought" projects outside the dental policy area. Most notably, I appointed him to be the staff liaison to the Strategic Planning Committee. He received well-deserved praise for assisting the Committee in envisioning future challenges to the practice of general dentistry and in developing strategies to meet those challenges. Srini's ability to think strategically and to work extremely well with Board-level committees is far beyond most staff directors. Srini has the capability to be an executive director or associate executive director for a large professional association, and I would recommend highly for any such position.

I had the privilege of working with Srini at AGD. In addition to the expertise I witnessed in his role as Director of Dental Practice and Policy, his interactions with fellow staffers as a member of the senior management team were exceptional. Srini showed clear understanding of the highest priorities for the organization, and offered practical approaches to achieve those priorities and to address potential obstacles. He is thoughtful, reasonable, and principled, and I believe he can lead an association as a senior executive.
