A lovely study to understand the translating dynamics of a single ribosome at single cell resolution. A lovely study to understand the translating dynamics of a single ribosome at single cell resolution.

With a vast array of disease-causing microbes in the air, the immune system is remarkably the best-engineered defense system that we can think of. To decipher its mechanisms, interactions and tap its true potential, I have undertaken this specialization. In the future, I aim to acquire skills and knowledge in the field of RNA therapeutics and delivery methods to develop better prophylaxis for immune-related disorders and even certain types of cancers. During my 2 year tenure as a student researcher, I was able to learn the fundamental aspects of being Biomedical Researcher. From designing my own experiments to indulging in scientific discussions, I believe I got to taste most of the workings involved in a core Research Laboratory. I was able and fortunate to have published 4 Research Papers ( 1 - Research Article, 3 - Review Articles ) under the guidance of my guide, Dr. N. Selvamurugan, in the field of Bone Molecular Biology. The project I was involved with mainly revolved around Bacterial cloning of a Peptidase enzyme gene for the development of an in-house product. In due course, I gained a significant amount of knowledge and practical experiences on Bacterial Cloning, Overlapping PCR (a variant of PCR), Primer Designing, Western Blotting. I was able to learn how to trouble shoot my mistakes and avoid pit-falls during basic molecular biological tools during this internship, which indeed, proved to be extremely valuable. Show less

As a rookie into the field of Biotechnology, I was fortunate to learn and assist in many of the Molecular biological techniques such as PCR, cloning and expression, Western Blotting, ELISA. Holding a tag of a Research Intern, I had a wonderful opportunity to get myself exposed to various prominent areas of Biotechnology like Immunology, Fermentation and other analytical techniques while assisting a very competent team of researchers.
