Contributed to: The development of aluminium based functionally graded materials (FGM) by squeeze infiltration process for selectively reinforced engineering components. • I had worked as a lead team member in creating joint research and development (R&D) work with academic and industry participants. • Fabricated near net shape mechanically self-sustaining graded porous ceramic preforms for infiltration process. • Developed near net shape Al based functionally graded materials (FGM) with location-specific performance under service conditions by direct squeeze infiltration processing of various aluminium alloys into the interconnected graded porous ceramic preforms. • Based on the research work, several R&D projects were sanctioned from reputed organisations, covering a total worth of INR 25 Million.
