Responsible for leading the organization in achieving its mission, and fulfilling its purpose. I do this through successfully overseeing all program development, marketing and communications, community outreach, curriculum development, fundraising, and hiring. I successfully build partnerships with donors, corporations, community partners, and agencies to reach our fundraising and outreach goals. I am also responsible for business development securing new partnerships to expand our program reach to new schools, and families across the Portland Metro area, and increase awareness of our program as a leader in environmental and STEM education for children of color. I established our Board of Directors, and currently lead them in thinking strategically to develop our annual goals, develop our programs, and partnerships. I am responsible for all fiscal management and reporting to our fiscal sponsor, creating our annual budget, and balancing our budget through implementing a successful fundraising campaign and grant writing. I conduct our recruitment, hiring, and training process, and manage our staff team responsible for implementing our summer programs.
