After being offered a job to come work for Golden West Radio, I began my career in the radio broadcast industry. After a year working both on-air and in the newsroom, I shifted roles to accommodate a need for the organization to have more full-time staff reporting for SwiftCurrentOnline. Together with 2 other full-time reporters, we averaged 280 stories per month, or 9 stories a day. I also had the opportunity to assist with one of the largest moves in company history, as we transitioned from one building to a much newer facility, virtually starting a whole new station, and learning all new equipment along the way. o Afternoon show host on The Eagle 94.1 from noon-6 p.m. daily both voice tracking and live using ScottStudios and WideOrbit o Hosted remote Live Action Broadcasts at major events around the southwest o In charge of Creative Production of commercials o Reporter for SwiftCurrentOnline.com, southwest Saskatchewan's biggest news source Show less

The Saskatoon Express was a weekly paper with a distribution of +55,000 households/week. It was the largest community paper in Saskatoon. I began as a student intern with the newspaper but proved myself to be an asset to the organization and stayed on with them for an additional three months following my internship. During my time at the Express I was responsible for the following: o Pitched and developing two to three stories per week o Ran all aspects of social media, including starting the paper's presence on brand new platforms o Copyediting stories for print o Assisting with production and design of the paper Show less
