In the summer of 2018, I spent a two-month internship in the Research Department of Berenberg Investment Bank working with the Healthcare Team. I undertook a variety of tasks ranging from researching the Chinese MedTech market to updating company profiles of our coverage for clients. I also attended daily meetings between the sales and research departments which gave me a broad perspective of what other research teams looked for in their stocks and how markets differed between different sectors.

During the summer of 2017 I worked behind the bar of a restaurant called Made in Italy, one of a small chain of restaurants in London. This put me in an unfamiliar environment and enabled me to work with new colleagues and customers of all ages which pushed me out of my comfort zone. Working with people of multiple nationalities improved my teamwork and leadership skills and I developed and gained more responsibilities throughout my time there.
