  Southern University began its life as an Institute in the year of 1998. Later, in the year 2002, with the demand of situations Prof. Sarwar Jahan & Prof. Dr Ishrat Jahan initiated & established Southern University Bangladesh with the Government approval under the private Universities act. Southern University is located at Arefin Nagor, Bayzid Link Road, Chattogram , Bangladesh. Southern University offers higher educational programs in Business , English, Law, Computer Science, Economics, Information Technology, Pharmacy, Communication Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Civil Engineering and Religion. All academic disciplines, programs have been carefully designed in keeping with the needs of job market at home & abroad. These programs develop the student’s knowledge of the theory and practice and an understanding of the codes of professional responsibility. Interactive teaching methods, case study, internship and research project to develop the graduates properly in keeping with the demand of time.
