  I have been working on total syntheses of natural carbasugars and analogues. Carbasugars are the sugar mimics possess a wide range of biological activities. I have synthesized twenty natural carbasugars (J. Org. Chem. 2013, 78, 7690; Org. Biomol. Chem. 2014, 12, 7279; J. Org. Chem. 2016, 81, 11635) by developing new methodologies. Having worked with carbohydrates, I have a very good training in carrying out highly sensitive reactions as well as multistep organic synthesis. Publications: PUBLICATIONS 1.
