Bio
Stefan K.
I had the opportunity to work with Sotirios from 2010 until 2012, while he was a fellow research assistant and co-worker on the Boosted HCCI project in collaboration with General Motors. Sotirios was involved in the modeling part of the project work guiding the experiment with valuable simulation results throughout the period we collaborated. He delivered very impressive results and findings from his system level studies for which he primarily used GT Power as a simulation tool. Having worked with Sotirios for a number of years, I found his work to be careful and comprehensive. His curiosity and genuine interest for a variety of engine related research topics that are beyond his actual dissertation topic are noteworthy. Moreover, it was a true pleasure working with him, as he is a great collaborator and team-player that is willing to reach out to and support others as well having the advancement of the project as a whole in mind.

I had the pleasure of working with Sotirios as part of a larger engine development project we were doing at MAHLE. Sotirios did the bulk of our modeling and simulation, and I found his work to be very thorough, often times extending beyond the specific requirements of the project and answering a lot of "what-if" type questions. He is a great communicator and does an excellent job of explaining the values and limitations of models and making suggestions where improvements can be made.
