I met Soteria in 2010 while she was in AmeriCorps doing communications for the Dayton Chapter of the American Red Cross. Since then, she has become the Regional Communications Officer for the Greater Cincinnati-Dayton Region of the American Red Cross. Soteria is a very hard-working, dedicated employee. Since the merger of the Dayton and Cincinnati Area Chapters, Soteria has taken on the responsibility of handling two media markets across three states-Ohio, Kentucky, and Indiana. She has been an key player in the new messaging strategy "One Red Cross" by creating media toolkits, enforcing brand standards, and creating messaging that flows across the board. Working for one of the largest preparedness organizations, you must be ready at all times for any crisis that might occur. Soteria has definitely been put to the challenge, most recently during the tornadoes that hit the Tri-State area in 2012, where she showed her keen instincts and knowledge in crisis communications. There is so much I could say about Soteria, but to sum it all up she is a gifted communicator and I am very honored to know her.
