• Working independently in the kitchen and delivering the evening meal on time to over 20 residents, using time management skills. • Responsibilities involved finding out what the residents wanted, preparing the food, maintaining a high standard of hygiene and health and safety within the kitchen, and remembering the special dietary requirements of many of the residents. • Making sure I was up to date with the medical requirements of the residents – regular liaison with the carers. • Informing the cook if stocks were running low – forward planning and communication.
