My responsibility with DSA was to manage the Operations including Packaging area and Warehouse, employing 220 people with a wide range of physical and intellectual disabilities, 50 staff and casuals in the FMCG contract packaging area, working for companies like Qantas, Gate Gourmet, Mainfreight, Costco, Barilla... with $5.5 Mil Sales Revenue. DSA was operating as a private company and received subsidies from the government in accordance with the NDIS. Key achievements: • designed, implemented and managed new operational processes which improved Net Profit by $1.25Mil in 4 years and increased Sales revenue from $2Mil to $5Mil in 6 years • in 2017 successfully managed full fit out of new premises (Production and Warehouse), including architectural drawings, quotes and coordination of all contractors. This involved building Clean rooms, Cool room and Freezer governed by HACCP, GMP, ISO accreditations audited annually. • relocated the whole Factory and Plant to new premises in one week without compromising any jobs • designed, implemented and managed a sophisticated system for handling the packaging of Snack Packs for all Qantas Domestic and Regional flights. This resulted in more accurate stock management, ordering, wastage reduction, easier and accurate stocktakes. Show less

My job was to manage the Operations Department including the state of the art Production and Packaging facilities, the Warehouse and the Purchasing. I was responsible as well for the Quality Assurance and Regulatory Affairs involving medical device registrations in various countries, maintaining domestic and international ISO accreditation, and Australian TGA accreditation. Some of the large customers were Coca Cola, Avon, MasterFoods, Panasonic, L’Oreal, Coty, Innoxa, Osram and some medium customers like NSW Tourism, Zodiac, Frucor, Boehringer. House with No Steps was operating as a private company and received subsidies from the government. Key achievements: • increased in turnover from $600k to $2,5Mil within 2 years, exceeded Net Profit budget 13 months in a row • declared the Preferred Supplier for all promotional work by Coca Cola after the first large job • opened in 2 weeks a new packaging site from an empty building to a fully operational site • secured a very large ongoing contract with Avon and various large contracts with Coca Cola • assisted 13 people with disabilities find work in “open employment” after being all their life on disability pension Show less
