I manage a portfolio of client relationships in the Barclays FinTech & PSP team, within the Corporate and Investment Banking division. I led a portfolio of high growth and complex FinTech & Payment Service Provider customer relationships, maximizing sustainable income and client profitability through providing excellent service and being a trusted advisor to my clients. I worked to develop my portfolio by increasing wallet share as well as winning new business; with a focus on collaboration across Barclays as well as implementation of projects including complex cash management, FX and debt deals. As a Relationship Director I was the primary contact point for external clients and therefore I needed to effectively build and foster relationships with multiple contacts from the Head of Compliance to C-suite executives. I built these relationships and grown my profile as a recognised subject matter expert within the sector both internally and externally. One key element of my role was to ensure I effectively manage the risks across the portfolio. FinTech and Non-Bank PSPs are a high-risk client type and therefore it was incredibly important to work collaboratively with our specialist managers to carrying out Enhanced Due Diligence reviews for all clients in my portfolio. I ensured Barclays was compliant with mandatory risk policies and procedures across regulatory, operational, legal, Financial Crime and credit risk. With Barclays having an international presence I worked closely with European, Asian and American teams to share and embed best practices across the Fintech and Non-Bank PSPs global franchise as well as worked effectively across the Barclays group. I worked closely with a number of other key internal stakeholders across different areas including, Investment Banking, Financial Crime, Compliance, Cash Management, Product, Global Payments and Client Servicing and worked to bring together stakeholders and worked effectively across Barclays divisions.
