I will perform a literature review to obtain insight into the nature and scale of (different forms of) child exploitation and interventions, policies and practices that have shown to be able to decrease prevalence of child exploitation. In addition, I will conduct a stakeholder and power analysis and the results of the three research activities will serve as input for the co-design of new programmes as part of a global restructuring organisational proces. I work as a temporary worker at Hoge School Utrecht as a hostess and an employee facility. In the first position I am mainly responsible for receiving and helping visitors. As an employee facility I am concerned with the day-to-day condition of the building and the rooms. I obtained a BHV certificate for this employer. • Consultant for AHEAD-project at Wemos
      • Sep 2022 - Mar 2023

Supporting the AHEAD-project in the Dutch context with project management tasks such as stakeholder contact and engagement, planning and organizing of interactive workshops, and disseminating results and research methods to public audience.

    • Graduate Research Intern
      • Feb 2022 - Aug 2022

My internship consisted of supporting project work related to the execution of the AHEAD-project in the Dutch context and conducting my own research for my thesis which was in the form of a scientific article. My own research entailed an exploratory study on the use of stakeholder analysis to identify stakeholders’ power sources to predict potential power dynamics influencing the process in consensus-building sessions. By consultation of literature I was able to formulate recommendations to support equality and autonomy in CB processes. Interviewing was the main method of research and the research design was informed by transdisciplinary research. The project work included designing a survey tool and analyzing the data, conducting a media analysis, writing a country report for the European Commission, stakeholder engagement and organizing interactive workshops with multiple stakeholders. Through the high amount of team work and communication with consortium members from other countries and stakeholders I improved my communicative and organizational skills. One of these consortium members was the Athena Institute for whom I developed interview guides as part of the evaluation methodology for the participatory approach to policy making applied in the project. • Graduate Research Intern at Gentest Institute
      • Feb 2021 - Jul 2021

I executed my research internship as part of my first-year curriculum at Gentest Institute (online). The research consisted of an exploratory study entailing a mixed method design to research whether and how the formulation and change of intention differ for change in physical activity levels in comparison with change in diet. Through this internship I learned how to design and administer questionnaires, analysis questionnaires by using STATA (exploratory factor, chi2 and logistic regression analysis), design semi-structured interview guides, conduct interviews, analysis interviews and integrate the results of both research methods in a comprehensive set of results. Mediq is a provider of medical equipment, instruments and services. At Mediq I worked in the OSA (obstructive sleep apnea) department and my main task was calling patients who wanted an inquiry about new CPAP equipment to promote their therapy. I had to take into account current agreements with health insurers and health authorities. In addition, it was also important that the patient was heard and that they were helped in a friendly but realistic way. Mediq is a provider of medical equipment, instruments and services.
