Head of Web Department
-
Sep 2018 - Mar 2019
Under this role I managed up to five projects at a time, while organising workloads and schedules for myself, the developer and designer in the team. I was able to work to tight schedules as well as liaise with and support over 150 website customers. As Head of department, I was responsible for the marketing of our services and did this by developing Google Ads and social media campaigns with the designer. I also identified possible new revenue streams and launched two new brands for the company to offer low-cost websites to small businesses and crafts-people. Launching these brands included logo design, website design, website development and the designing of marketing material, as well as putting time into researching and compiling the details of the brand services. As part of my marketing plan, I headed the re-design of our own website, as well as the implementation of a blog and the introduction of new services like logo-recreation and character design. Part of my role was to complete reviews of customer accounts to make recommendations to enhance their service provisions, as well as identifying corporate leads and taking meetings with larger opportunities to discuss requirements. Another part of this hybrid role was to monitor and improve service delivery techniques; like our website go-live process, customer management systems and sales techniques. Perhaps more importantly I was ultimately responsible for taking sales and support calls from customers as I was a dedicated account manager; this meant that I was their point of contact in the company, so I take pride in my approach to customer service.

Web Designer/Developer
-
May 2013 - Sep 2018
As a designer and developer, I was involved in projects from the point of website visual to the completion of the website build. I also designed business logos, marketing emails, email signatures, leaflets, business cards and letterheads. While in this role I learned how to build websites using Zencart, Joomla, Wordpress, OpenCart and Razor CMS, I also built on my experience in using Dreamweaver and Photoshop. As I was part of a small team, I was also responsible for taking sales calls, managing customer enquiries and also responding to website support tickets.
