I established people skills through serving and interacting with a wide range of customers, which built my confidence. It has also taught me to take initiative and how to work well with colleges or in a team. Working in a fast paced environment, where I learnt how to adapt to situations and how to successfully manage multiple tasks at once. Whilst at George, I designed my own baby girl’s collection for the S/S20 range. I worked with the design teams across kids and womenswear, learning how to draw and create designs with a Wacom tablet. I built on my Illustrator skills, creating custom imagery to be used on garments. I learnt how to balance out a collection with different prints, use of colour and the importance of placement by using garment templates. I learnt how embellishments were added in Illustrator and was able to see each stage of the design process from initial drawings and colour schemes to the physical finished product. I attended seasonal trend meetings and helped collate trend research. I also researched and created profiles for target customers for different collections in line with the target audience of the brand.
