      • Jun 2018 - Present

I have worked on a variety of healthcare projects at Sonnemann Toon and gained valuable experience across all of the RIBA Stages. It is a medium sized practice and therefore the project teams are small, rarely more than 3 people. My confidence has grown dramatically over the last 2 years as a result of the increased responsibility to produce and issue drawings as well as regularly liaise with clients. I have also developed my construction knowledge by attending site visits with the project architect and producing setting out plans and details to issue to the contractor.

    • Student Ambassador
      • Feb 2018 - Present

In my spare time, I volunteer as a student ambassador for the Architect's Benevolent Society. This role involves promoting the charity on social media as well as networking in order to raise the profile of the charity within the industry. This experience has considerably widened my professional network within the built environment while working towards an extremely worthwhile cause.

At Farrells, I worked on several large mixed-use developments. My first project was Ruby Triangle. I was fortunate to be involved with the project from the moment that it entered the office and follow its development through to the planning submission. Planning permission was obtained for the scheme in November 2018. During the initial stages of the project, I was an integral member of the internal layouts team: designing a variety of private and social rent apartments. As the project developed my role changed and I worked on the production of diagrams and documents for the various PreApp meetings and public consultations. This experience taught me a great deal about communicating ideas to a range of audiences. As I progressed I gained more responsibility and, during my last 3 months at the practice, I was given my own building to develop as part of the North End Village phase of the Earls Court Masterplan. I was tasked with developing the massing and the initial facade manifestation.
