  I had the most wonderful year and a half working as a gardener at Weleda UK's head office in Ilkeston. This role gave me the opportunity to work closely with nature, learn about organic & biodynamic growing methods and broaden my understanding of medicinal plants and herbs. I was responsible for the maintenance and upkeep of the sites original physic garden and staff recreational garden, as well as working in a team to grow medicinal crops at the site's 12 acre sister site in Heanor, The Field. As a team we would harvest crops and process them in the on site production facility, turning fresh plant material in to medicinal grade plant tinctures for use in the Weleda homeopathic and pharmaceutical ranges.
