Marketing Intern
-
Jul 2014 - Aug 2014
My 100 hour contract with North Notts College allowed me to improve my PR skills and techniques and gain a wider insight into the relevant working environment. I was given a research project with the aim to change or overcome any bad press, coverage, perceptions or opinions of the college. In order to complete this, I had to do the following: - Research local competitors and examine where their strong points lie - Analyse and generate press releases - Find and compare statistical figures from the previous year - Plan market research strategies and questions All of the information I collected was then put into a clear, detailed strategic plan/report on marketing and PR techniques in which I believe the college will benefit from. With my younger mind-set, I became the ‘creative thinker’ for the college and pushed the idea of using social media. Show less
