• Setting up the first ever non-commercial recognition programme in the history of the Olympic and Paralympic Games • Bringing 2700 project into the Inspire Programme in 3.5 years ranging from Culture, Sport, Educaiton, Sustainability, Volunteering and Business Opportunities • Working closely with top Government officials, such as Hugh Robertson (Minister for Sport) to Seb Coe and LOCOG CEO Paul Deighton, and other top Sportsmen and women who were engaged by the programme. • Setting up of networking events across the UK where our projects could come, listen to key note speakers, network with each other, hear not yet released information on the Games and feel a closer part of London 2012 • In May of 2012 I organized a national day of recognition for the Inspire Programme, we had Jonathan Edwards on the BBC Breakfast, events happening all around the UK, National and local paper & television coverage. We used Social Networking as a major leverage to promote the programme, with our hashtag trending nationally on the day. • The programme was an unprecedented success and a similar programme is to be rolled out on the 2014 Commonwealth Games and a handover was made with Rio 2016. • The programme’s success is being recognized through the dedication of a wall of plaques detailing each project, located in the “Copper Box” venue on the Olympic Park.
