StartUpBySophia is about getting more girls and youth into STEM, and more specifically Role-Modelling to them know what they can do today by 1. Leading by Example, 2. Investing in the future 3. Creating Leaders through STEM. Being told that she was too young to go to work, that science is not for girls, having few peers to work with, and being too young to get money for financing. All she had to overcome these barriers was encouragement, love from family, $200 a cookies recipe and coffee. With these resources she made $4000 and from that, she created FunCro; then sold 6800 units of Funcro to to create 3 new products for each part of STEM; which lead to awards, grants and other accolades. With her success she would like to pay it forward by being a role model to both Parents and Youth.
