I have worked with complex legal descriptions, created and maintained spatial databases, created custom maps and atlases, automated workflow with models and python scripts, completed complex analysis, identified ways to increase efficiency and provide better service, created web mapping applications and other tasks that relate to spatial data. Since 2011 my duties have primarily been in the public safety sector. I am currently assigned to the Sheriff’s office. I create diagrams, exhibits, maps and items for current investigations and trials; I examine crime stats and trends for effective policing efforts and crime reduction; I create custom applications to help assist investigators and crime analysts; I create scripts and workflows to improve efficiency. I am responsible for many other tasks that fall outside of GIS related spatial data work. I designed, developed, and maintain the Sheriffs office’s internal SharePoint site to increase officer awareness and enhance office efficiency. This site is used by over 250 office personnel inside our agency as an intelligence hub to share and exchange information. We have recently deployed the site to outside law enforcement agencies to create an area for regional data sharing and collection. The site contains custom lists, discussion boards, law enforcement application links, custom forms for request for analysis, linked tables that are updated through scheduler tasks, custom mapping applications, custom report application created in visual studio, custom interactive crime dashboards I created in Microsoft Power BI and other features as needed and requested by Sheriff’s office staff. At Spokane Country Assessor's office the primary goal was to maintain accurate records for taxation purposes and to assure office procedures followed Washington State Law.The job involved breaking down current assessment values and determine building placements for the purpose of land division. This job required a lot of manual and computer calculations, working closely with other county departments and title companies, having high attention to detail, always striving to look for ways to have increased efficiency, and having great customer service. I worked in ArcInfo, ArcGIS and in the Unix operating system. I rebuilt the parcel layers of the county based on GPS data, survey data, road right of way plans, aerial photography and legal descriptions. I captured plats from the recorded document and put the appropriate arc and label work in various GIS layers. I wrote several computer programs in AML and Visual Basic to streamline office functions. I designed and made custom maps for the appraisers and individuals in the public using ESRI GIS software. I was involved in training other office personnel on segregation procedures and GIS.
