At FEV North America, I accomplished the following tasks: a. Designed functional embedded controls for various OEM automotive propulsion systems that are currently in production using both barebone C programming, and model based (MATLAB / Simulink) programming. b. Led the development and commissioning of modular supervisory controls using PLCs and Human Machine Interfaces (HMI) with integrated safeties for the different types of engines, motor and transmission benchmark test rigs. The modular design led to cost and time efficient test bench setups. c. Contributed in the electrical schematic design for production hybrid & full electric vehicles, specifically the inverter - motor systems, DC-DC charger systems, and the battery management systems. d. Drafted one-line diagrams in AutoCAD for electrical wiring and instrumentation of the test rigs. e. Developed dSPACE deployable Hardware in the Loop (HIL) MATLAB/Simulink plant models, and supported the test team during the validation process. f. Maintained and tracked group defect and bug database found during validation using the AGILE methodology. g.
