I managed the IT team, based in the UK and was responsible for the running and support of the worldwide ERP system, Axapta (Dynamics AX), as well as the overall IT infrastructure. For fourteen years I supported Dynamics AX and project managed three implementations, whilst being actively involved in six. I designed changes to AX processes in order to increase efficiencies within sales order processing which allowed the department to take on more responsibilities without increasing headcount. Due to my ongoing involvement in ERP systems and the business processes, this is where my expertise lies. From May 2012, I was also the manager of the Distribution department, in addition to my IT responsibilities. In order for me to make improvements within this department, such as creating procedures, making changes to processes and changing working hours to fit the current business requirements, I made it my objective to become fully conversant with all of the processes (hands-on) and did this successfully.
