      - Worked on 2 projects for collaborative industry partner OTI Lumionics, a Toronto-based start-up which develops advanced materials for OLED displays. - Developed new reaction conditions and methods to prepare ligands for MRI contrast agents to improve biocompatibility, resulting in a 3x improvement in yield and reduced reaction time from 3+ days to overnight. (Collaboration with Prof. Adam Shuhendler). - Synthesis of functionalized polyhedral oligomeric silsesquioxanes (POSS) cages. Prepared functionalized polymer for photocrosslinking. - Optimized and developed new strategies for the syntheses of highly fluorinated aromatics, reducing both side product formation and the number of reaction steps from 3 to 1. - Prepared weekly reports and presented biweekly to a team consisting of different technical backgrounds. - Lab safety manager: day-to-day maintenance of laboratory and periodic review and update on safety hazards.
