I work as an electrical engineer in Tech-support. Which includes visiting clients and giving them hands-on training on ETAP and solving their doubts. I also work on electrical power system projects for International Paper Mill, USA. We are studying and comparing load flow and short circuit results obtained by Easy power and SKM software with load flow and short circuit results obtained by ETAP. We receive inputs such as single-line diagrams, the scope of the study, and also Easy power or SKM study results. We import Easy power or SKM (.RPT or . DEZ) files into ETAP and do mapping of the protective devices such as Fuse, LVCB, and Relays and align SLD as per the client SLD in ETAP. We perform Load flow and Short Circuit Studies in ETAP, study end results, and adjust parameters such as impedance, X/R Ratio, %LRC Capacitor banks, and %Loading to match results obtained by Easy power and SKM software and calculate deviation. We Prepare detailed project reports by adding load flow and short circuit results, remarks, and comments.

I work on low voltage electrical switchgear projects from US & Canada for Eaton with software Bidmanager. My job profile is to 1.Study Project type: Commercial/Residential/Industrial/location of the project(Hazardous/Non Hazardous) 2.Study specification of the gears: Which includes NEC rules, busbar material, enclosure type, wire gauge, type of circuit breaker(thermal magnetic/electronic trip), type of disconnect (HD/GD),HxD (inches)of the gear. Type of starters (VFD/Soft starter/FVNR). 3.As per the specs,configure MCC, PCC, Panelboards, Switchboards, Transformers, Loadcenters & Disconnets.Which also includes making of GA drawing & estimation of the total cost of the project.

Job Responsibilities 1.Estimate the cost of the Electrical Switchgears (for eg.AMF Panel, DG Synchronizing Panel, lighting Panel, APFC Panel, MCC, PCC, and Distribution Boards),for Residential, Commercial & Industrial project and prepare quotation which includes BOM (As per make of the switchgear: L&T, Schneider, Siemens, ABB), 2.Calculation of busbar weight (Al / Cu),Calculation of fabrication weight, 3.Prepare GA Drawings and final SLD (in AutoCAD 2010) based on the BOQ or SLD details provided by the client. 4.Provide solutions or alternatives as per requirements in case of differences between available switchgears and SLD/BOQ/Technical requirements of client. 5.Confer with clients for price negotiation. 6.Conduct testing of the panelbpards 7.Co-ordinate with the client to execute inspection of the Panels in our Factory at Mahape
