This work experience was based in the Advanced Technology and Research Department at ARUP. Some examples of tasks undergone: Using detailed engineering drawings of the concrete columns after oil rig platform removal to design concrete covers for the North Sea decommissioning project, Researching self-healing materials currently on the market for use in minor building faults caused while construction is taking place, Performing stress and strain calculations on smaller scale building projects.
