  I started working for Pittman's Nursery as a very young man. Prior to graduating from college, I spent over ten years working for this company. During that time period, I performed nearly every task required for nursery operations. Such as: Propagation- Seed, tissue culture and from cutting. Production- Assembling media, container and starter material. Tags/labeling- Assisted in the organization and development of this practice as it became a requirement for the industry. Sales/Marketing- Assisted in extending customer base and the support and maintenance of existing customers. Harvest/Loading- Initially, all of our loading was "california stacked". Later, as demanded by the consumer, the loading migrated towards racked/boxed product.
