I conducted a literature search on the microbiome present in soils and waters, with special attention to mining and reclamation environments, to find the most representative taxa of these environments. With the taxonomic information obtained I made a database with the 16S ribosomal RNA gene information of these bacteria to be used in further metagenomic analyses. The tasks I carried out were: 1. Bioinformatic analysis of metagenomic data based on the 16S gene. 2. Search in and management of 16S databases. 3. Search of bibliographic information about microbiome of environmental samples. 4. Analytical studies of human biological samples were performed, results were interpreted and communicated to superiors. Performed various functions such as: - Analysing patient samples in the laboratory. As a technician you had to interpret the result to identify it as positive or negative for the patient's health. - Managing the stock of material. You had to see how much material you needed and keep track of it, so that you knew how often you had to order more. - Disposing of waste and laboratory samples correctly. This way you have a tidy and organised workspace, so you can work more efficiently. - Communicate test results to those responsible. This is done in a clear and concise manner. - Maintain and prepare the equipment. It is very important to maintain equipment so that it provides the most accurate results possible. They should be calibrated to check that they are functioning correctly. - Identify potential hazards in the laboratory. Potential hazards in the laboratory must be assessed and reported to superiors. - Perform quality controls. This prevents possible contamination that may suffer in the laboratory. Show less
