  Mercadona is one of the largest supermarket chains in Spain which has begun expanding internationally, starting with Portugal. Part of the training process for Portuguese employees was to come to Spain to understand how the company works. My job was to give intensive ten day Spanish courses focusing on conversation to those Portugese employees, to ensure that they had an intermediate level of Spanish before travelling to Spain.
