Sol is one of the most technically advanced people I know, but combined with his strong business acumen makes him a force to be reckoned with. All of this capability, and a great easy going attitude, makes him a leader that people want to work with. I highly recommend Sol if you have a complex business or technical opportunity that requires one of the best and brightest.

I worked with Sol at SR Research in Ottawa, I reported to him as a software developer and technical support specialist on the team. He was a very good manager and capable of overseeing the development of a very technical product. I was very impressed by the depth of his knowledge about eye tracking and software development in general. I would highly recommend anyone who in the neuroscience and psychology field to tap into his wealth of knowledge. I wish Sol the best of luck in his new venture.

While at SR Research Ltd. I was responsible for: 1) Managing most of the daily operations of SR Research globally. 2) Growing the main office in Ottawa, Canada, team four fold and managing the team. During the same time period, revenue grew ten fold. 3) Directing the support team, and providing support myself, to our world-wide customer base. 4) Directing the sales team, and providing pre-sales technical support to potential clients. 5) Directing the software development team responsible for all stimulus side software for the company, as well as writing significant portions of the core architecture for some of the key applications. 6) Working closely with Dr. Eyal Reingold (owner and President) and the very talented Dr. Dave Stampe (owner and head hardware engineer) in prioritizing and setting the vision for the EyeLink 1000. This included everything from initial concept, functional and technical requirement focus during development, to the product commercialization. 7) Working closely with the Dr. Reingold to set overall company policy and business strategy. During this time period I worked for SR Research Ltd as a contractor or through an independently owned company providing technical support services as SR Research launch their new new eye tracking system, the EyeLink II. I provided services ranging from product and company branding, website creation and deployment, and user manual development. I also provided onsite installation and training to customers, attended all conferences where the EyeLink II was being demonstrated, and developed software for the system, notably the EyeLink Data Viewer, which is still being used and enhanced by the company today. While at Nortel I started as a software developer for the Internal Services group under the incredible management of Paul Girard. I started taking on project management responsibilities while maintaining a strong role as a software developer and architect. Before (voluntarily) resigning from Nortel I worked for another great manager, Gary Hobin, in the Optical Components division, as a senior software developer for about a year. During my stay at Nortel I developed or PM / developed about 15 applications, all web based, with teams as as large as 12. A few of the applications required management of resources at multiple sites, including Ottawa Ontario, Raleigh North Carolina, and the beautiful City of Galway Ireland. RIP Nortel. Show less
