My work consists of supporting AIDA in building a complete diagnosis of the energy matrices and markets of three target countries in the region (Colombia, Mexico, and Chile). The research will contribute to an analysis of current climate and energy policy (specifically looking at the origins and arguments which underlie the country’s energy policies) and has the ultimate aim of generating counter-arguments which help to support the argument that a just energy transition away from fossil fuels with a focus on human rights is better suited for public well-being, from an economic, social and environmental point of view.
