I was a part of a team, developing Wacom's WILL framework. It is a multi-platform digital ink library. My responsibilities were mostly in OpenGL/C++ lower level development of the rendering engine. I was also handling specifics related to the Android platform. The main challenge was to maintain 60 FPS on resource-constrained mobile devices. I did initial research no an algorithm for conversion of raster images to vector graphics, recognizing stroke semantics to be represented as variable width strokes. I was involved in developing the new lines of smartpad products. I was handling various aspects in the development stack from low level Bluetooth/USB communication to cloud services and handwriting recognition module integration. Show less

I worked on Siemens's Process Simulate application. It facilitates designing industrial production assembly lines. The production process can be simulated, which helps in downtime, when altering existing production lines and is used to simulate whole new processes in advance. The application is mainly used in car and aircraft manufacturing. It is a very powerful software, with a long history as a leader in its field. I was a part of the infrastructure team (backbone). This part of the software is mainly describing the data model and somewhat the process model in a low level yet abstract way. It glues different parts and aspects of the application. During my employment, I was mostly involved in the expansion of new server-client communication and new data models with its internal APIs. The biggest challenge in the project was the vast code base. Bigger than the Linux kernel. I used mostly C++ and C#. http://www.plm.automation.siemens.com/en_us/products/tecnomatix/manufacturing-simulation/assembly/process-simulate.shtml Show less

I worked on various algorithms for digital image processing and computer vision. I had a key role in the development of a real time video stabilization algorithm for smart phone cameras. More info and sample videos can be found at the link below. I did some research on real time motion detection in an unknown environment from an arbitrary video. I worked on improving a computer vision algorithm. It is in the area of real time simulations localization and mapping. It fuses information from a monocular camera, gyroscope and accelerometer to determine the trajectory of the device in 3D and create a map of the surrounding area. My main focus was on solving the problem of initialization of the Kalman fusion filter with correct parameters, as an optimization problem. I optimized an auto white balance algorithm, where the performance was increased by 30%. Participated in the development of a desktop GUI tool that facilitates tuning of an image pipeline for the OMAP4 platform. Main technologies and platforms that were used in the above projects are C/C++, QT and Android. https://mm-sol.com/products/computational-camera/video-stabilization.html Show less

I was part of a team, developing a massive multilayer online role-playing game called Earthrise, which falls under the same category as World of Warcraft. I worked on the character creation menu and parts of the model and world editors, which are tools created for developing 3D models and building the world of Earthrise. C++ was the language in use. Implemented a financial indicator for currency exchange. Developed on C++ for the MetaTrader 4 trading platform. It basically retrieves fundamental economic data from Excel spreadsheets, compiles it and displays it on a chart in MetaTrader. Implemented a financial indicator for currency exchange. Participated with 2 other programmers in the creation of event photography software for the company, a full scale desktop and server side application to facilitate most operations on the business end and accounting in an event photography company. Written on C# .NET, using Microsoft SQL Server 2005 and Microsoft Access MDB files for local database storage. I participated mostly in the database design, development of the credit cards processing system and parts of the GUI. While participating in the developing of the company's software, I was also managing two other photographers on the Cape Code Central Railroad venue. Show less
