Exhibition ''Re-inventing public space' The exhibition explains, first of all, the history of this place and its transformations, which took place from the 30s. This event pushes a large group of students of Landscape Architecture of the Department of Architecture of Florence to organize, in agreement with their teachers, a workshop led by the famous French landscape designer, Pablo Georgieff with his Atelier COLOCO, directed by Gilles Clement, their mentor and teacher. The design concept that is developed is simple and understandable: Ciompi square is a common good and this must prevail over individual and / or privatized goods. The exhibition highlights the "design process" that the students followed during the 2016 workshop and in the subsequent phases of the Laboratory, arriving to define a real "preliminary project" for the re-invention of Ciompi square. The Exhibition of a project for an important public space of the Neighborhood Community should be an opportunity to promote a conscious and responsible confrontation on the future of this place.
