Help to work events, write for their newsletter and meet in a focus group with other teens who help to give insight for their curriculum. They take this info into classrooms grades 4-12 to teach about digital safety, and create resources to educate parents/teachers.

    • Podcast Host/Panelist
      • Mar 2020 - Jun 2022

In this role I helped with, and occasionally host, the Media in the Middle podcast by My Digital Tat2 where I and a group of teen peers record episodes weekly about social media, politics, (more recently) the pandemic and other relevant topics. This is one of MDT2's tools to keep parents engaged and educated on how teens are using social media and what's currently relevant.

    • MultiCulti Leadership Team (Open Member)
      • Apr 2020 - Jun 2022

MultiCulti is a team made up of the student leaders of affinity and ally spaces within the school. In my first year in the group I was an "Open Member" where I did not serve as a leader of a space but rather someone who could help with events and various projects as needed. In my first year (2020) I took on my own project during our annual "Month of Understanding". I organized an event titled "Gender and Upbringing" in while I interviewed a panel of parents, educators and students who were trans/gender queer or were raising gender queer children. We spoke about how each panelist was raised to think about gender and how they came into their personal identity. In the following year's Month of Understanding (2021) I held a similar even called Gender and Fashion in which I and my friend interviewed a panel of our peers about their self expression through clothing.
