  The Australian Diabetes Society (ADS) is the peak health professional body representing clinicians and scientists involved in research and patient care in diabetes in Australia. I am committed to ensure that the ADS has an important role in advocacy and policy decision making at the State and Federal Government level to support preclinical and clinical research as well as access to programs, therapeutics and technologies that will lead to better management and fewer complications for people with diabetes. I firmly believe that a strong alliance and collaboration among the key stakeholders is critical in ensuring that we deliver best practice in diabetes.
