      As a 2022-2023 fellow with Standing With You, a non-profit initiative by Students For Life of America, the ultimate goal was for fellows to implement a lasting effort within a year so that student moms and parenting students at their universities have and are aware of resources available to them, and know that they are not alone in their campus. For my year-long fellowship project, I created the Leo Baby Food Pantry Project from scratch. Through fundraising efforts, support from students, university staff, fellowship mentors, and the local community, and a partnership with the Leo Food Pantry (University of La Verne’s Food Pantry), there is now an established bi-annual distribution of free baby items for pregnant and parenting students at the University of La Verne. I am committed to upkeep and further develop this project as an exiting fellow and to ensure it keeps thriving even after I graduate. Show less
