Bob Olsen
Sneha was a brilliant engineer but most of all has an amazing work ethic. She always performed to the highest expectation but went out of her way to help other areas. I would welcome the opportunity to work with her again.

I’ve always wanted to start my own company, and 2015 was just the perfect time to take some of the experience that I’ve gained over the years. One of my goals has always been to inspire people to be their best and most confident. As Business Owner, I feel privileged to help my clients by providing them integral tools to manage and reduce stress related to their workplace, family and financial situations, and to break the cycle of stress, anxiety, and depression. One of the parts of this company is that I get to author a weekly newsletter that reaches over 500 subscribers, where I provide suggestions and methods for companies to become more human, and humans to be more agile, and resilient. In order to reach more people, and expand my ability to help a greater community, I authored two books: “Stress Free Prosperity” (https://tinyurl.com/3w3h9byy) and I co-authored “Raising the Global Mindset”, (https://tinyurl.com/ycx829zp), both available on Amazon.com. The idea behind these books is Illustrate the idea of work life balance, by presenting programs and training that unlock human performance, enhance well-being, and drive positive behavior change. Sr. Process Engineer/Project Manager
-
Sep 2014 - Aug 2015
One of the most satisfying things in my career was the opportunity to deliver value in many industries, such as gaming and cosmetics, and now to the credit card industry. Delivered outstanding quality, planning, cost efficiency, and labor optimization results across for leading credit card production, manufacturing, personalization, and fulfillment corporation. This was essentially a dual Sr. Process Engineer/Project Manager, and during my tenure I created and completed new equipment acceptance planning and testing (Mail Sorter), applying lean principles to identify and deliver $200K in ongoings annual savings. I continued to build on my training tasks, an area that has always given me so much satisfaction. I was fortunate to train and mentor ambitious, and diverse teams, from equipment operators to engineering interns, ensuring the next generation of high-performing, quality-driven, and client-focused work teams. My vendor relationship management skills were also utilized here, as I sourced new vendors for new card products, identified opportunities for improvements, and leveraged supplier expertise and/or technology to harness improvements in reducing total costs by over $100K. I led business analysis efforts by performing gap analysis, reviewing technical design, supporting testing efforts, writing documentation, and suggesting areas of automation and/or process improvement, all which increased the bottom-line company health. I’ve always believed that an increased focus on quality and training in turn would ensure the good health of the company, and this was certainly true here. The opportunity to collaborate across multidisciplinary teams was also one of the benefits of working here as we brainstormed new initiatives that improved processes, reduced costs, and invigorated the staff. Quality Assurance Engineer

Oct 2010 - Jul 2013
My success at Coty made me a perfect fit to take on additional challenges. I enjoyed working with Bally Technologies, an innovative company, and one of the largest manufacturer of slot machines and other gambling technology (now owned by Scientific Games). As Quality Assurance Engineer, I oversaw the successful setup and operation of their quality assurance lab, ensuring compliance with strict protocols and readiness. By reviewing multiple disjointed service methods/systems, and learning all I could, I was able to identify and communicate recommended changes that led to marked improvement in areas such as more efficient problem resolution, total compliance, and optimized cost control and resource allocation. It has always been important to immerse myself into the company, and by doing so, I proactively assessed issues, identified and recommended solutions, responded on a timely basis, and adapted and reacted positively in a changing, deadline-driven, and dynamic work environment. My efforts ensured that quality processes were established and maintained through SOP that addressed planning, evaluation, and monitoring for manufacturing processes, materials, products, policies and procedures. This role also introduced some new tasks, such as managing vendor relationships, where I achieved best price and delivery, a focus on continuous improvement, and a strong client-driven focus. This position also increased my expertise in testing procedures, as I successfully tested procedures and SOPs for the QA test department, set up processes for electronic components and machinery, and trained technicians on the most effective components and machinery testing processes. I was quickly recognized as a go-to leader and critical resource and liaison between vendors and company throughout project lifecycle. Show less

Production Planner/ Process Engineer
-
May 2006 - Jul 2010
I consider myself fortunate to have started with Coty almost as soon as I got out of college, as most recent graduates don’t get to work with multibillion-dollar cosmetics and perfume companies! I began as a Process Engineer, and within a year I was promoted to Production Planner. In both these roles, I delivered outstanding. outcomes in lean manufacturing, supply chain, materials handling, and inventory, with a global reach from Walmart to Bloomingdale’s, and every level in between. This was a challenging yet very rewarding role, and some of the skills I gained here are those I still use. As Production Planner, I expertly tracked and managed inventory levels of components, WIP, and raw materials (over 400 SKUs with monthly volumes ranging 500-25000 pieces), ensuring most favorable outcomes in cost and delivery terms. I have always been a proponent of Kaizen training, and at Coty I had the opportunity to train diverse teams, and the information and tools I delivered resulted in a well-satisfied workforce with improved outcomes on targeted issues such as performance and goal setting and empowerment. In addition, I applied Global Class Manufacturing guidelines and utilized Total Quality Management tools, which in turn ensured the most efficient production schedule, while also recognizing and considering the impact of any changes on operating assets and inventory levels. By reviewing and benchmarking key processes, identifying areas of training need, and implementing new methods that focused on consistency of quality, I delivered a 30% increase in productivity. I applied industry-leading Single-Minute Exchange of Dies (SMED) and continuous improvement techniques, which resulted in a 40% improvement in packaging and bottling equipment changeover time. My success in those areas led the management to have a lot of faith in my abilities as well as trust in my suggestions, and I was tasked to create and communicate Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) across key areas.
