      RESEARCH EXPERIENCE Graduatue Reasearch Assistant • Conducted multi-location field trials in North Carolina, West Virginia and Georgia to record nutritive and yield response of tall fescue to Nitrogen fertilization. • Conducted green house experiment using Sorghum-sudan grass to create a bioassay of plant growth on soils varying in Carbon (C) and Nitrogen (N) fractions. • Conducted lab analysis on soils from tall fescue trials, annual forage systems, switchgrass, and wheat crop systems to measure soil C and N fractions. • Conducted Near Infrared Spectroscopy on tall fescue forages to predict C, N and crude protein as a measure of forage nutritive quality. • Analyzed plant yield and nutritive value as affected by different soil attributes using SAS and SigmaPlot to examine more than 2000 data points to improve nitrogen recommendations in tall fescue. • Worked closely with professors at Department of Crop and Soil Sciences and Department of Animal Science to help build a holistically sound forage system for livestock.
