What makes JOSHConnect unique? India’s first and only platform in Non-Profit sector working PAN India giving a platform to serve IN KIND to needy. India’s only platform in to bring these items for donation in much less than MRP by partnering with Manufacturers, Distributers and Wholesalers directly Smita Chelamchela Joshconnect.org nonprofit NGO founder's humanity service journey started with a group of few neighborhood women as Whatsapp charity group in 2014. Initially they started contributing from their monthly pocket money expenses and started helping nearby school children with food and the necessary stationary items. As they moved forward, they realized the need to expand their service after thoroughly understanding the society needs particularly school children, orphans and downtrodden section. Then they started collecting funds from close relatives, friends, and neighborhood community. Their service also expanded with the growing funds by providing food to School children, helping poor people, providing necessary infrastructure to schools, like helping with setting up playing grounds and providing toys and playing kits to schools. During the journey they also realized that how people especially household women from interior villages struggle for getting water for their daily needs. They must walk miles of distance to get water for their daily needs. Joshconnect team came up with rolling water drum concept which can store bulk amount of water and can easily carried by even small children. Like this they continued expanding their humanity service with various sections. With the growing service demands they also required to increase their donor’s community. Without electronic media and payment gateways it is very difficult to gather fund from various sections of donors from different places across the globe. Then their team understood the requirement to build electronic platform to collect the funds from various sections of donors that is when it became JOSECONNECT Foundation which was registered in 2018. You might think that they might have spent some part of the donor’s money in building their electronic platform. No, they did not do that, JOSHCONNECT founder's husband being a techie guy who came forward with few of his friends and with some volunteers to build this platform. As with the time they started focusing more on serving the communities with the basic needs, disaster relief, educational support and also an empowerment partnering with many small NGO's across the country. Now you might ask me a question why Joshconnect when there are various NGO organizations, which are doing this type of work. Trust me I also got this question; the reason is that most of the donors do not know how their donation being spent by charities . When I started donating to this group they used to provide me the report with donation details and the receivers details. Then after that i started believing it .

I have known Smita since 2014 when we were volunteering for TOYBANK. Smita is an extremely dedicated individual and always wished to do more for society. She was instrumental in starting a small group of like minded people called JOSH. To reach out to more people, she and her husband started joshconnect.org. Smita has worked for a multitude of causes, and continues to do so by reaching out wherever people need help. Grocery distribution, food distribution and helping the disadvantaged during Covid Crisis, donating reusable sanitary napkins for the underprivileged, disaster relief and many many more. If you donate on joshconnect.org, you will not only get updates on how your donation was used and how many people it benefited, it will also give you immense satisfaction of donating to the organisation which is very conscious in how it uses the money for maximum benefit. It is a privilege to know Smita and kudos to her for JOSH and its contribution to society.
