Project Consultant and Research Associate

Jan 2016 - Dec 2017
Exploring Perceptions of Beneficial Use of Biosolids in BC Interior Working with Thompson Rivers University in collaboration with Metro Vancouver as a Research Associate and Project Consultant on a mixed-methodological study examining British Columbia Southern Interior residents’ (including non-indigenous and indigenous peoples) perceptions surrounding the land application of biosolids in their community. This project hopes to inform approaches to meaningful stakeholder engagement across multiple jurisdictions and policy planning processes in rural communities and further inform priority policy and management areas for regional disposal and/or beneficial reuse of Metro Vancouver’s waste by-products. I contributed to proposal development as well as the quantitative survey instrument. Following preliminary quantitative analysis I followed up with residents using qualitative in-depth interviews in November 2016 and will be responsible for the analysis and dissemination of these results.

I was the Site Research Coordinator for Health Canada's Outdoor and Indoor Physical Activity and Health Study in both Kincardine and London, ON.
