My students have won several Internationally renowned awards: •4th place WDSF World Youth 10 dance Championship 2012, Moscow • 4th place WDSF World Junior 2 Latin Championship 2015, Riga • 5th place WDSF European Youth Latin Championship 2017, Sochi • 3rd place WDSF World Junior 2 Latin Championship 2017, Bilbao I have moved to Atlanta, USA to start developing Children DanceSport programs here, because I see a huge potential in growth for myself as well as opportunity to develop this niche of the Dance industry in America. Riga Dance Festival was the unique event organized by the dancers for the dancers to celebrate the beauty of competitive and social dancing. This event united International Pro-am competitions, evening Gala with showcases from Latvian legendary dancers, Latvian Dance Award ceremony and social dancing program with the live orchestra. Riga Dance Festival organizers had a clear vision to organize the highest level International dance event which combined both competitive and artistic advantages of social ballroom dancing what gave opportunity to expose the beauty of ballroom dancing to the broader audience. The festival had more than 50 participants from Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Belorussia, Sweden, Finland, Israel, USA, Poland, UK. As a Co-Founder and Creative Director my job was to create the best possible experience for our participants, adjudicators, guests and spectators. Riga ball is the biggest annual ball in Latvia and one of the most spectacular cultural events in Baltic States. It is held according to the best traditions of the Viennese balls, with the incredible charm of Latvian culture. Riga Ball held in one of the most famous and beautiful buildings in the Baltic States — the House of the Blackheads, located in the very heart of Riga, the capital of Latvia. The luxurious interior of the venue will help create the unforgettable atmosphere of a 20th-century ball. During the evening program symphony and jazz orchestras are performing, as well as the best soloists of the Latvian National Opera and Ballet, the most known Latvian Operetta soloists, the greatest Latvian ballroom and folk dancers, young musicians, and dancers from orphanages. The official opening ceremony starting with a presentation of the debutantes. Young ladies dressed in white ball gowns and their partners dressed in black tails dance the Opening Polonaise and a Viennese Waltz. The pairs of the debutantes and their partners will be specifically selected at the largest Latvian universities and trained by the best Latvian ballroom dancers and choreographers. Followed by the performance of the debutantes, the organizers and the event partners invite all the guests of the ball to join the dancefloor and enjoy the unique atmosphere of the evening. Show less
