I earned the SURF (Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship) grant and worked on a research team all summer. I spent most of my days on our research vessel collecting data on the populations and movement of every marine organism in Narragansett Bay. Through this opportunity I learned how to work well on a team and to execute a scientific study from site selection, to data collection and analysis. I even presented our results and findings for my undergraduate thesis. I earned the SURF (Summer Undergraduate Research Fellowship) grant and worked on a research team all summer.
