  The Business Improvement District (BID) was an association of local small business leaders that collaborated to plan campaigns and events that promoted the downtown district of Sun Prairie. I served as a voting member and strategic consultant for the board, mostly assisting with event planning and marketing research. I created, pitched, and organized a novel fundraiser that raised $17,000 for pandemic-battered small businesses and $3,500 for a local food bank. This was an unprecedented action for a student in my role.
