Hanah Yendler
Sam was our intern for the Sponsorships team in Incubation (Eventbrite's R&D), and was the best addition to our team. (If we could hire him, we would in a heartbeat). Sam is really inquisitive, bright, and hard working, and the work he produced was really impressive. Apart from successfully introducing a trained age prediction data science model into our system, he also managed to ramp up quickly and provide value in both back end and front end areas. You can visibly see his passion for what he does - he lights up any time he talks about his work or his studies, and has a wide variety of interests with the realm of computer science. In his final presentation for his internship, Sam gave a talk to over 25 engineers at our company about his work, and succinctly answered questions from our top data scientists as well as presented a clear path forward. As an engineer, Sam has mastered both the ability to be detailed oriented as well as envisioning how to prepare for the future. As a person, Sam is one of the kindest people you will meet, and is exceptionally good and engaging people in conversation and asking questions. I know that no matter what he ends up doing, Sam will be extremely successful and he will be sorely missed on our team. I can't recommend him highly enough.
