Overseeing daily exports into the European Union and producing the correct commercial documents required for export including preferential origin status and ICS2 Compliance. In addition to the daily exports I help oversee the commercial paperwork for our twice weekly breakbulk shipments into Europe. Additional responsibilities include and are not limited to, issuing clearing instructions to agents for imports, providing further information for worldwide Exports, Commodity code support and advice from the Vol 2 of the Trade Tariff, supporting other colleagues with queries in relation to Incoterms, arranging transport collections and arranging chamber of commerce documentation. Further responsibility is managing the Inward Processing Authorisation for Megger, ensuring that all goods held under IP are clearly identifiable, all documents are readily available, completion of the BOD and applying for extensions if and when required. In January 2022 I was able to secure more cost effective transport to the nominated Freight Forwarder for exports to end users, which included arranging a weekly consolidation collection on a dedicated vehicle reducing freight trips on the roads.
